Blackline Safety Corp. has been awarded a $3.5 million contract to provide more than 850 wearable security devices and other security solutions for the workforce of a leading US infrastructure company.
The unnamed client is a company active in the natural gas, oil and energy industries, he said in a news release that did not name the company.
Blackline Safety said it has been contracted to provide more than 850 G7x cloud-connected safety devices for the customer’s workforce, which often works in remote or confined spaces in hazardous locations.
The company also purchased more than 850 G7 bridges, Blackline’s portable base station that provides a critical satellite uplink in areas of poor connectivity. To ensure fast and easy compliance operations, the company added more than 230 G7 docks, Blackline’s simple solution for calibrating, testing and charging G7 portable devices, Blackline Safety said.
“The energy company originally piloted Blackline’s one-site security technology. They were very impressed with the G7’s real-time connectivity, along with the information available through our comprehensive reporting suite, Blackline Analytics and it was the connected solution they were looking for,” he said. “The fact that our technology can tell them immediately when and where someone needs help, even in confined spaces and remote locations with no mobile signal, sealed the deal. The company is now standardizing a fleet of Blackline devices to protect their workers in North America,” Stinson added.
This is the third major deal Blackline Safety has announced this month. The company secured new deals totaling more than $1.3 million with three energy companies in Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Blackline Safety Corp. it also reported a 50 percent increase in its personal gas monitor and fire area business last year. According to the company, this translates to more than $2 million in total contract value for Blackline’s real-time cloud-connected safety devices and services, used by hundreds of fire and hazardous materials, oil and gas, petrochemical , food production, biotechnology, transport, etc. utilities and water and wastewater organizations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.
