Drilling waste management specialist TWMA has been engaged by Equinor for global drilling waste management services.
The 10-year agreement, including options, allows TWMA to extend its global drilling waste management services to Equinor’s operations, enabling the company to process its drilling waste safely and sustainably, it said. say TWMA in its press release.
The contract includes five scopes of work, including bulk transfer, tailings treatment, tailings treatment, skip and shipping and TWMA’s award-winning offshore processing technology, the RotoMill said, TWMA said .

This award follows a successful streak for TWMA in Norway. TWMA has provided integrated drilling waste management services for several field development projects on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Earlier this month, TWMA launched the RotoMill 2.0, dubbing it the most energy-efficient RotoMill ever. It is committed to providing operators with an environmentally sustainable wellsite processing solution, according to the company, which it said includes TWMA’s XLink remote control software, “providing greater operational information, while automating the processing system of the place of the well”.
The technology provides operators with lower costs, improved safety and lower carbon emissions, TWMA noted. The state-of-the-art control scheme enables improved monitoring of system health, providing a predictive maintenance approach, he added.
