Peugeot has unveiled a new panoramic i-Cockpit design that will make its debut in the upcoming Peugeot 3008 later this year.
The next-generation i-Cockpit features a 21-inch HD curved panoramic display along with a redesigned compact steering wheel and touch-sensitive i-Toggles.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit and the new design brings together two of the three core elements of the i-Cockpit: the raised front display and the large central touchscreen.
They are now integrated into a curved panoramic display made up of a single 21-inch high-definition panel that stretches from the left edge of the dashboard to the center console.
The screen is mounted from the back in a way that remains invisible, creating a “floating” effect that is further enhanced by the LED ambient lighting below the screen.
On the left side of the panoramic screen, the instrument panel displays all relevant driving information, such as speed, driving assistance and power flow, located above the compact steering wheel.
On the right side, in the center of the dashboard, the touch screen section is accessible to both the driver and passenger. Allows control of functions such as heating/air conditioning, navigation and media.
The central part of the dashboard houses the i-Toggles, which are fully customizable touch-sensitive buttons. These buttons can be programmed with 10 presets/
To increase storage space and facilitate wireless charging of smartphones, Peugeot has moved the automatic gearbox selector to the dashboard, next to the steering wheel and the car’s start/stop button .
The compact steering wheel, a key element of the Peugeot i-Cockpit, features a more modern design. The redesigned center pad is smaller and appears to be “isolated” from the steering wheel spokes. Controls now use “touch click”.
Ambient lighting extends across the width of the dashboard and door panels, reflected in an aluminum cladding. The lights can be changed between eight different colors.

I need a used small automatic SUV, what are my options?
I want to buy a second hand automatic compact SUV for my daughter. Likes the Nissan Juke, but has seen bad reviews for automatic issues. Our budget is €8,000.
The Nissan Juke is a good choice, but the automatic CVT is notoriously problematic, so we suggest you look elsewhere. Some alternative SUVs of a similar size to the Juke are the Peugeot 2008, Mitsubishi ASX, BMW X1 and MINI Countryman, all of which are available with automatic gearboxes and can be found within your budget.
