Thousands of cars have been recalled for potentially dangerous defects.
The government recalled the cars, citing defects that “could increase the risk of a crash, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
Almost 40,000 cars have been affected by the recall.

More than 10,000 KIA KA4 Carnivals sold between 2020 and 2023 have been recalled.
The power sliding door system may not alert occupants while in operation, which may increase the risk of injury.

Remember Peugot
More than 2,200 Peugeot 308, 208 and 2008 vehicles have been recalled.
The variants included in the recall are the 2008 A94, 208 A90 and 308 T9.
The cars were sold between 2017 and 2020.
The timing belt can degrade due to aging engine oil. Failure to repair may result in reduced or lost braking performance.
This could increase the risk of an accident, causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.
Owners of affected vehicles can contact their preferred Peugeot dealer to have the work carried out as soon as possible, free of charge.
Citroën withdrawal
More than 600 Citroën C3 Aircross, C3 and C4 Cactus vehicles have been recalled.
The variants included in the recall are the C3 Aircross A88, C3 B618 and C4 Cactus.
The cars were sold between 2017 and 2020.

Mitsubishi Recovery
More than 25,600 Mitsubishi 22MY and 23MY Outlander and Outlander PHEV vehicles have been recalled.
All variants of these models have been included in the recall.
The cars were sold between 2021 and 2023.
Due to a software issue, the rearview camera image may be temporarily interrupted when reversing.
This could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to anyone behind the vehicle.
Mitsubishi Motors will contact owners via email advising them to take their vehicle to their preferred Mitsubishi Motors dealer for a free software update.
Toyota recall
More than 900 Toyota Corolla Cross Petrol MXGA10R vehicles recalled.
The variants included in the recall are the Corolla Cross Atmos 2.0L Gasoline, the Corolla Cross GX 2.0L Gasoline and the Corolla Cross GXL 2.0L Gasoline.
The cars were sold between 2022 and 2023.
Due to a software issue, the electronic parking brake may not work as intended. This could cause the vehicle to move or roll away if the gear selector is not in the park position.
This defect may increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants or bystanders and/or other road users.
Toyota will contact affected owners in writing, requesting that owners make an appointment with their preferred Toyota dealer to update the vehicle’s skid control software program, free of charge.
