WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – How Megan Johnson, 25, got to Sagamore Parkway east of Soldiers Home Road from her abandoned car at the Pay Less Super Market gas pumps remains a mystery.
Johnson, who is from Veetersburg, was running from the north side of the four-lane highway to the south side about 4:45 a.m. Wednesday when she was hit by a car in the eastbound lanes, said Lt. of West Lafayette Police Jon Eager.
Why Johnson was naked and why he abandoned his car at the gas stations remain unknown, Eager said.
Police are continuing to speak with people who may know why Johnson was in West Lafayette, as well as reviewing video of areas where he may have been before the crash, Eager said.
