The search is on in Orangevale for a stolen 1928 Ford Model A. The owner of California Transmission at Walnut Avenue and Greenback Lane said someone broke into his shop’s backyard sometime this week and stole the vehicle. Joe Cava said the car is inoperable and has no license plate. It’s also not insured, he said. The thieves broke through chain link fences and likely had to push the car out of the garage and into a trailer, Cava said. The robbers are believed to have struck between Sunday and Tuesday morning. They also stole some supplies and tools from the garage, he said. Anyone with information to share is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
