It’s that time of year again – time to find your first (or next) Corvette! Every once in a while we like to jump on the frey and help our friends and followers find some really remarkable cars in the hope that we can bring a buyer and seller together. We found such a car!
Our friends at bringatrailer.com have this 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Collectors Edition 3LT Coupe for sale on their website. The car, which has just 6,000 miles on the clock, is a truly remarkable example of the iconic seventh-generation Corvette Grand Sport series. This car is number 624 of only 935 Grand Sport Collectors Edition models built that year.
As was the case with all Collector’s Edition Grand Sports built in 2017, this car comes in the immensely popular Watkins Gray Metallic (RPO G7Q) over Tension Blue leather with black micro-quater. Each fender features blue stress marks and the car is also finished with a Satin Black Grand Sport center stripe. The exterior features seventh-generation xenon headlights, a removable roof panel, a vented carbon fiber hood, Grand Sport Series rear spoiler, heated and electrically adjustable side mirrors, front side view cameras , quad exhaust outlets and a carbon fiber front splitter and side skirts.
The 19-inch (front) and 20-inch (rear) black aluminum wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The front tires measure 285/30, while the rears are a whopping 335/25. This car comes equipped with magnetic ride control and an active handling system with traction control at all speeds. Braking is enhanced with black Corvette-branded Z51 series calipers on a slotted, vented rotor at all four corners.
Towards the interior, this car comes equipped with heated and ventilated GT seats. Both seats are eight-way adjustable and the driver’s seat features memory settings to accommodate different driver configurations. As mentioned before, the seats, center console cover, dashboard and door panels come finished in Tension Blue leather trim. Interior amenities include Grand Sport branded carpets and door sill plates, carbon fiber trim, the popular in-dash PDR (Performance Data Recorder), dual-zone climate control, a Bose sound system, the Heads Up, a Bose sound. system and an 8-inch MyLink touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and Bluetooth. NOTE: There is a small blemish on the driver’s seat (not seen in the pictures here, but can be found by visiting the original post on bringatrailer.com).
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel shows some discoloration, which is typical of the 3LT trim on a seven-year-old Corvette. That said, the steering wheel comes equipped with paddle shifters and an adjustable steering column. The dashboard features a configurable center display with various driving modes (including time, economy, tour, sport and track), a 200 mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges for engine temperature and fuel level. Please note that this car, as mentioned above, only has 6,000 miles on the odometer.
The 6.2-liter LT1 V8 is equipped with a multi-mode performance exhaust system and was factory rated at 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The engine oil was last changed in December 2022. Power is sent to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists a one-owner history in Washington state. It also claims that this car has always been privately owned since its original owner was new. Considering the combination of mileage and owner history, this car is a great deal for its current price (at the time of this post) of $62,700.
