No casualty was reported in the accident that took place around 5.30 am, Charoti Sub-Inspector of Police Irshad Sayyed told PTI. When the tanker carrying 33 tonnes of crude oil for vehicle engines overturned, the oil spilled over a kilometer length of the highway near the RTO check post in the limits of Dapchori, he said. The traffic police, the control personnel and the local fire brigade have moved to the site and covered the affected part of the road with sand, the official informed.
Traffic movement on the expressway was restored after about two hours, he said.
No one was injured in the accident, he added.
