(ZPI) is proud to announce a letter of intent from Acutronic Turbines, Inc. aiming to integrate ZPI’s packaged oil delivery solution into its limited-life turbojet engine to deliver system-level benefits. in the form of a reduction in the number of parts. In this capacity, Acutronic Turbines intends to acquire and integrate the Zulu Pod system to conduct engine testing in 2024 with the goal of validating and quantifying engine optimizations that would otherwise be absent when ‘uses a traditional oil delivery system.
Zulu Pods – Self powered packaged oil delivery systems for limited life engines
The Zulu Pod is the world’s first decentralized lubrication system that combines the function of a reservoir, pump and nozzle into a single packaged, self-contained, self-pressurised and hermetically sealed oil delivery system. The Zulu Pod is lighter, sits right in the working area of the engine bearing or gear compartment, and measures the minimum amount of lubrication needed for optimal performance. Zulu Pods can be used for primary lubrication of limited life engines or for backup lubrication during a loss of lubrication event.
