MADISON, Neb. (KTIV) – No major injuries were reported after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning that left one vehicle in a ditch.
Around 6:50 a.m., agents from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection of 836th Road and 555th Avenue, which is between Norfolk and Madison, Nebraska. When they got there, officers found a car in the ditch at the top. Before officers arrived, all occupants of the vehicle were able to exit safely.
The sheriff’s office says the crash happened when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit the car, flipping it into a ditch.
There were three people in the car at the time of the accident. One of them was an 18-month-old boy who suffered no apparent injuries. Authorities believe the boy was not injured because he was properly restrained in a car seat.
The driver of the pickup truck was issued a citation for running a stop sign.
