ENGLEWOOD – Funeral arrangements have been announced for a Northmont senior killed in an accident over the weekend.
Chris Gwynne, 19, died Sunday morning after a car accident on Salem Avenue.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, May 8th at 12pm at the Rhema Lighthouse Christian Center. A visitation will precede the service from 10 a.m. to noon, according to his obituary.

Gwynne is remembered as a “loyal confidant to his friends and family”.
“Chris never met a stranger and lit up every room he entered,” his obituary said.
News Center 7 spoke with Northmont City Schools Superintendent Tony Thomas Monday evening. She said the school’s focus has been on supporting Gwynne’s family, friends and school staff.

“These are the hardest days we have and they happen from time to time and no matter how much experience you have, it never gets easier. We truly feel for the family as well as all his friends and staff who knew him,” Thomas said.
Gwynne was a passenger in a car with five other teenagers. The accident report stated that the driver lost control and hit a pole. The other five teenagers were taken to Miami Valley Hospital with minor to serious injuries.
