“I heard the crack of first contact with our neighbor’s vehicle. I guess the silver car was going down, side by side cars on this side of the street. Our neighbors over here just took the car out, flipped it and that’s it it stopped.” resident Lindy Burns said.
County police said the teenagers hit other cars while trying to elude arrest.
“I thought maybe someone passed out in the vehicle, but when I got out, I saw the cops,” Burns said. “It’s wild because we were in the middle of the carnage line. There were a couple of vehicles lost. This vehicle here was also lost, but I mean others (were) just left in the trash.”
As the damaged cars and the stolen car were towed away, the parents are thankful it wasn’t worse, saying the timing is what scared them the most. Residents told 11 News the neighborhood is usually full of children walking or playing in the park.
“First, I was terrified because it was right when my daughter was supposed to go to school and other kids.
