LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – Authorities are looking for the man who walked out of a Lehigh Acres store without paying and then hit a store clerk with his car after he confronted him.
The crime happened March 23 at AutoZone Auto Parts on Lee Boulevard, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.
When the employee went to confront the man in the parking lot, the man “accelerated and struck the employee, knocking him onto the hood of the car.” Then he immediately left.
The man, described by SWFL Crime Stoppers as a Hispanic male, approximately 60 years old, possibly working as a mobile mechanic in the Lehigh area, was driving a blue Pontiac.
SWFL Crime Stoppers is asking anyone with information about the man to contact them at 1-800-780-TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
