99x was the overall gold winner at the 2023 Best Management Practice Awards organized by the Institute of Professional Managers Sri Lanka (CPM Sri Lanka).
99x also won the Sector Award in the IT & BPO Services category. More than 40 companies participated in the competition, which aimed to identify and share best business management practices. The awards recognize best practice in areas such as leadership, policy and strategy, risk management, people management, resource management and process improvement.
The top five ranked companies were invited to present their best practices in a special session within the recently held CPM Sri Lanka “Rebooting Management; Reimagining and Redesigning” Conference. Other companies ranked in the Top 5 include Ansell Lanka, LOLC Finance, DFCC Bank and Elpitiya Plantations.
99x Founder and CEO Mano Sekaram said: “We are delighted to be recognized with this award for our global sourcing best practice. 2022 was a challenging year for all of us and we went the extra mile to explore alternative strategies and contingency planning. We are pleased to see our approach recognized in this way.”
“Ultimately, this became our answer to establishing and accelerating our global presence. Simply put, we took it upon ourselves to globalize our talent sourcing model and thereby reduce risk exposure of our customers in Sri Lanka. Through this initiative, we were able to retain all of our customers by de-risking Sri Lanka and positioning 99x as their global sourcing partner. This initiative will also provide opportunities for our leadership in Sri Lanka to have roles global,” he said.
Sri Lanka Institute of Professional Managers Director Dilshan Arsakularathna said: “99x Technology won this year’s General Gold Winner of the Best Business Management Practice Awards because they satisfied the judges in all aspects of their presentation. In their presentation, the judges saw the time they spend in providing their services to customers.”
