2001 fans The fast and the furious He could never have dreamed that two decades later, the tenth installment of the franchise would hit theaters. you can look Fast and Furious 10 (which also calls the study quick x because Fast 10 looks like what Vin Diesel does to his seat belt) on May 19. The second trailer for the film gave us a look at Roman’s gold-plated Lamborghini Gallardo (which Han calls “Fort Knox on Wheels”), John Cena’s tactical Chevy El Camino (the gun car), and several fan favorite vehicles from previous films.
Roman Pierce will tempt fate with a Lamborghini Gallardo
In whatever it may be Fast and Furious 10’s opening scene, Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew convoy through Rome. The villain, Dante (Jason Momoa) has set a trap for them and they soon have to fight a huge, rolling bomb that takes off towards the Vatican. Another day at the office, I guess.
In this sequence, Dom drives a manual version of the latest Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye with a factory widebody kit. Tokyo Drift’s Han (Sung Kang) cruises in an orange 1971 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce. Someone (possibly Letty/Michelle Rodriguez) rides a motorcycle.
Dante is looking for a prototype or custom Harley-Davidson. This fits with Universal Studios’ long-standing Fast and Furious tradition of pairing actors with brands they’re already ambassadors for.
But the car that steals the show is a 2003 Lamborghini Gallardo. Why a twenty-year-old entry-level Lambo? Because this is an extraordinary example that someone has gold. It echoes the bright orange Lamborghini that made Roman an easy target for Cipher’s (Charlize Theron) torpedoes back. Fate of the furious. Roman seems to be testing his plot armor even more aggressively in this film.
The Gallardo also happens to be the last Lamborghini model to be offered with a manual transmission. Taking into account fast and furious Cars are known to use at least 12 gears in a 1/4 mile drag race, we can expect Roman’s Lambo to be a true three pedal.
Find out what makes a three-pedal Gallardo a great investment.
John Cena’s 1967 El Camino makes him the coolest uncle in the world
There is another very unique one Fast and Furious 10 car featured in the latest trailer: Jakob Toretto’s (John Cena) 1967 Chevy El Camino “cannon car.” Why do you call it a cannon car? Because he has several huge cannons strapped to his body that he lights up before high-fiving Brian Marcos Toretto (Leo Abelo Perry).
[F9 Spoiler alert…kinda] John Cena plays the franchise’s latest villain-turned-good guy. Jakob is the long-lost brother of Dom and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster). After losing a career and being rejected by his family, he becomes one of the best international spies/assassins/drivers in the world and then shows up several decades later to get revenge on his brother. I guess that technically makes him a good man turned bad turned good.
But in fast and furious At the age of 10, he has become the coolest uncle in the world. When Dante kidnaps little Brian (boo!), Jakob comes to the rescue in his El Camino cannon car.
Although Jakob was a fan of the Mustang in the F9, this classic car fits well in what appears to be the final setting of the film. This sequence also features Dante’s 1966 Chevrolet El Camino, a 1966 Ford Fairlane, and Dom’s beloved (and indestructible) 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. But the Charger from the last race in 2001 The fast and the furious is far from the only fan favorite returning from a previous film.
If the Chevy El Camino is too popular, check out the GMC Caballero.
The cars in Fast and Furious 10 are easter eggs from previous films
The car image team is working Fast and Furious 10 has packed the film with Easter eggs that harken back to much of the long-running franchise. Yes, there are even some Derived from Tokyo shoutout: The orange and black paint job on Han’s Alfa Romeo.
Dom usually favors Dodge muscle cars. So why does he have a gray 1970 Chevelle SS parked in his Los Angeles garage? quick x? It’s the car he drove around Mexico for much of the fourth movie: Fast & Furious.
And why did the film crew hunt down two black 2010 Dodge Charger SRT-8s? For a flashback scene that reveals that Dante has been at odds with Dom’s crew ever since they took a safe through the streets of Rio in Fast 5. This film even features Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) sliding behind the wheel of a 2019 McLaren Senna, reminiscent of the autonomous. Hobbs and Shaw.
