The car has undergone an extensive restoration that began in 2017 and has been updated with several aftermarket components that have significantly improved its performance and appearance.
Under the hood, the car is powered by a 6.4-liter (392 cubic inch) HEMI® V8 crate engine, mated to a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and a Moser Engineering limited-slip differential with 3.91 gears :1. The engine was installed by Dodgemaster Automotive of Lexington, South Carolina, while The Hot Rod Barn of Joliet, Illinois installed the transmission and differential. In addition, the engine has been fitted with Hooker BlackHeart headers and exhaust, a Griffin aluminum radiator, a Mopar air filter and a high-performance oil pump.
The exterior of the car is painted yellow and has 392 badges on the front fenders, black Super Bee tail stripes and a black rear spoiler. On the hood are two yellow air vents, HEMI badges and safety pins. The vehicle has dual exhausts, chrome bumpers, aftermarket headlights and split front grilles. The tires are M&H Racemaster drag radials measuring 185/75 front and 325/50 rear, mounted on 15-inch Billet Specialties wheels. All four corners of the vehicle have drilled and slotted brake rotors and the rear has Wilwood calipers.
Procar Scat front bucket seats and a rear bench with black trim have been added to the vehicle’s interior. Driving is comfortable thanks to the Vintage Air climate control system, which also appears on the center console and dashboard. In addition, there are manual windows, floor mats with the Super Bee logo and a pistol shifter. The AM/8-track radio has been upgraded so that it is now Bluetooth and USB compatible, FM compatible and connected to aftermarket speakers. A 160 mph speedometer, 8k rpm tachometer, and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are part of the Dakota Digital instrumentation that sits in front of the wooden steering wheel.
The car is sold with a service manual, receipts from 2021, photos documenting the engine build, two keys and a South Carolina title in the seller’s name. The digital odometer reads 17,000 miles; owner has added about 1000 miles.
