On Monday morning, Sedalia Police received a report of a theft in the lobby of the Police Department. Brian Michael Zafarano reported that someone fraudulently withdrew money from his account through electronic means. The value of the theft exceeded $2,500.
Officers responded to Ollison’s Used Cars, 2809 East 12th Street Monday afternoon for a report of property damage. James R. Ollison reported that a vehicle in the lot had been damaged. The value of the damage was estimated at $1,000.
On Monday afternoon, officers met with a subject from the Police Department who was interviewed in connection with an ongoing investigation. Juan Jose Cuevas Jr., 21, of Sedalia was taken into custody after the interview. Cuevas was held in the Pettis County Jail for 24 hours. Cuevas was booked into the jail pending charges of second-degree sexual misconduct and solicitation of a child.
