BRISTOL – A shooting was reported on Summer Street Monday afternoon, according to local police.
Officers responded to the 10 block of Summer Street around 12:45 a.m. Monday for reports of shots fired, Bristol police Lt. Geoffrey Lund said. Callers said they witnessed a male suspect fire a round at a male victim immediately before a white van or SUV fled the scene, Lund said.
Responding officers found a casing in the area, but did not locate any victims, property damage or additional evidence, according to Lund. No descriptions were available of any of the male individuals involved in the shooting, Lund said, adding that the make and model of the fleeing white van or SUV was also unknown.
Police are not aware of any threats to the community as a result of the shooting, according to Lund.
