Talk about taking Super Gas racing to the next level.
Roy and Keith Raftery’s new C7 Corvette Roadster is what happens when the 9.90 split meets Pro Modified ingenuity.
The titanium-infused roadster is the brainchild of Jerry Bickel Race Cars, a shop known for its Pro Modified technological prowess, and weighs a featherweight 2000 with driver. It is coated with a Cynergy Composites Gen 2 carbon fiber C7 Corvette that is fully removable. The Jerry Bickel chromoly chassis has a four-link Bickel with a 2.00-inch Pro sway bar system. It has a sheet metal back shell made by Jerry Bickel. Even the arm is chrome.
Safety-wise, the car has an 8-inch Simpson air-launching parachute, an ISP seat, Taylor SFI padding, a 5-pound Safecraft fire suppression system, and an oil containment device of JBRC carbon fiber engine.
The beauty includes body work, paint and custom body work by Jeff Hoskins.
