CEB reboots the Clark Center
On April 21, Cebu Pacific restarted its Clark hub by relaunching flights and increasing frequencies from Clark International Airport.
CEB flew its inaugural flights from Clark to Bacolod, Boracay, Davao and Bangkok. The airline previously announced it would operate a combined 15 destinations from its Clark hub.
CEB will also increase frequencies on four of its Clark routes: Boracay, Davao, Hong Kong and Cebu.
The relaunch of its Clark hub allows Cebu Pacific to continue to offer great value to its passengers, with 10,000 additional seats per month and fares for both domestic and international flights that are 30 percent lower than the pre-pandemic average. It will also boost the airline’s network from its Clark hub and re-establish it as a major gateway for local and international travelers.
To support this expansion, the CEB is scheduled to receive three additional aircraft that will be based at Clark. These are in addition to the 10 new Airbus NEO aircraft to be delivered in 2023 to expand the airline’s fleet.
Isuzu PH launches the latest edition of D-MAX, mu-X
Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) unveiled its latest edition Isuzu D-MAX and Isuzu mu-X in downtown Alabang from April 21 to 23 at the Isuzu Summer Music Festival.

Scheirman Construction chooses Kia K2500 4×4
Scheirman Construction Consolidated Inc. (SCCI) has chosen the Kia K2500 4×4 Double Low Cab as its do-it-all workhorse.

BPI receives award from PDS Group
Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) was awarded as one of the Top 5 Fixed Income Trading Participants (Rank 5) by the prestigious PDS Group at the recently held PDS Annual Awards 2023.

Pilmico records more than 5 million safe man-hours
Pilmico Foods Corp. achieved more than 5 million safe man-hours in total in its feed mills.
There have been 3 million safe working hours without lost time incidents for its feed and flour mill facility in Iligan from July 2022 to March 2023, and 2 million hours of secure jobs at their feed factory in Tarlac between November 2021 and 2023.
To promote workplace safety, feed mills conduct regular safety awareness training, site inspections, hazard and risk identification, and toolbox meetings. Pilmico also ensures that all team members, including visitors and customers, follow strict safety protocols and biosecurity measures in place.
On average per month, Pilmico’s facilities in Tarlac and Iligan host nearly 2,200 team members, both organic and subcontracted.

Safety kits arrive in Nueva Ecija
PLDT and its wireless unit Smart Communications Inc. are boosting the disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) efforts of the City Council of Palayan, the provincial capital of Nova Ecija, with the Ligtas kit.
Each Ligtas kit includes emergency communications training that PLDT and Smart will conduct together with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation.
Packaged in a protective hard case, the PLDT and Smart Ligtas kit includes communications equipment such as portable generator, satellite panel, satellite phone, smartphone, pocket WiFi, hand crank radio, flashlights and whistles to serve the communication needs of Palayan residents during disasters.
Both the emergency communications team and the learning session will help equip communities with disaster preparedness and emergency response knowledge and skills.
PLDT and the Smart Ligtas Kit aim to cultivate a culture of preparedness and build smarter and more resilient communities through inclusive mobile technology.
Association for agribusiness
Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), the social development arm of the Jollibee Group, and the Department of Science and Technology of the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Development (DOST-PCAARD) recently signed a memorandum of ‘understanding that aims to further enrich its efforts to develop the entrepreneurial capacity of small producers and link them to agricultural value chains.
The agreement focuses on promoting sustainable agricultural practices through technology transfer, access to knowledge and tools to improve productivity. It also aims to improve research and development activities to provide science and technology-based solutions for agro-aquatic enterprises. The program also includes the creation of networks and links with the market to ensure the viability of agribusinesses.
This initiative also supports JGF’s Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP), which empowers and helps smallholder farmers sharpen their technical and business acumen as well as partnership-building skills. FEP uses the agribusiness clustering approach to help farmer groups that supply Jollibee Group and other markets.
To date, Jollibee Group has accredited 18 farmer groups nationwide that supply more than 9,000 metric tons of vegetables to the company, accounting for more than $360 million in total sales.
Teleperformance receives wellness supplies
Teleperformance Philippines recently conducted a program review and ceremonial rotation of wellness supplies and KISS (Keep It Safe & Sure) dispensers as part of its HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) at Work policy, at the Teleperformance site Vertis North.
The highlight of the event was the ceremonial turnover of the KISS dispensers, which was offered in partnership with the Department of Health through its Project Red Ribbon Care Management Foundation and Pilipinas Shell Foundation Inc. as part of the Comprehensive HIV Corporate Program. Dispensers include condoms, lubricants, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PreP) and HIV tests. In addition, counseling was provided and an on-site HIV test was demonstrated.
The program also sought to review Teleperformance’s HIV policy, the cultural journey, as well as the milestones achieved by the initiative that began in 2015, which makes Teleperformance a safe and healthy workplace for all. The policy aims to provide continued impetus for testing and education through e-learning, safeguard health and wellbeing and have people-led transformation with its 3A (adapt, adopt, advocate) model, which has produced over 80 advocates across the country and counting.
