The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has identified a teenager who died after a motorcycle accident in Greenville. The coroner says the crash happened around 3:25 pm Friday at the intersection of Fairforest Way and Wenwood Road. According to the coroner, when the GCCO and the City of Greenville Police Department arrived at the scene, they found a car and a motorcycle had collided. at the intersection The coroner says the driver of the motorcycle, Aidan Wallace Pohl, 16, of Greenville, was taken from the scene to Prisma Health Greenville, where he later died from his injuries. Pohl was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. according to the coroner. Pohl was pronounced dead shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, the coroner says. David Padilla, head of school at Christ Church Episcopal School along with the Christ Church community shared a statement with WYFF News 4 saying “This afternoon, we experienced the death of a beloved member of our community. student: Aidan “Ace” Pohl, Class of 2025. We are all deeply saddened by this tragic loss. The death of a student is the most difficult thing any school community faces. We lift his spirit and his family in prayer as we grieve together.” This crash remains under investigation by GCCO and GPD.
