FULTON COUNTY, Ga. – The alleged killer of a man who was fatally shot after getting into the wrong car at a local gas station had just been released from prison.
The victim’s mother spoke out after hearing the news.
“December 12th, 2022,” Trayvon Dunnaville’s mother said.

This is a date Dunnaville’s mother will never forget.
Channel 2 action news He calls it “TC” and did not show his face for security reasons.
“I haven’t been able to sleep. I haven’t,” he said.
South Fulton police said their 26-year-old son was shot and killed at the Shell gas station on Old National Highway after he accidentally walked into the wrong car.
Police arrested Dericole Daniels and charged him with voluntary manslaughter. On Monday, he was released on $150,000 bond.
TC responded by saying he doesn’t think it’s fair.

Channel 2 action news received the video from that night and circled the two cars to show their similarities.

The video showed Dunnaville leaving the gas station and heading toward the car on the left, but his mother said his car was on the right.
His mother said Trayvon was texting while opening the passenger car. He was shot four times and moments later, his pregnant fiance ran out of his car.
She says, “Don, don’t shoot him again. He was in the wrong car. He saw my son coming toward him. He was parked like that. So you saw him coming. He could have closed his doors, or he could have said can I help you or anything? All he did was shoot. Just because people make a mistake and open someone’s door, they don’t have to shoot them,” TC said.

Channel 2’s Larry Spruill contacted the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office for a response regarding the incident.
They issued the following statement: “Our office has an ongoing investigation into the matter. If a decision is made to seek a felony charge, that office will prosecute it in Superior Court. If the decision is made to drop – it as a misdemeanor as cited by the police, the State Attorney’s Office will prosecute it in state court.
