A new oil on the market has promised a longer service life while helping to conserve the environment.
Lubes Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (LBPCL) MAK lubricant will help protect engines from wear and overheating while delivering good fuel economy with low emissions.
During the Ugandan market launch of the product on Tuesday in Kampala, officials said that with MAK lubricant, cars will need fewer maintenance cycles and therefore reduce the amount of used oil that would rather circulate in the environment.
At the launch of the product, some motorists reported the rise of fake oil products in the market, which has undermined the quality of motor oil standards.
LBPCL Executive Director Santosh Kumar said that meeting quality standards is very important.
He expressed confidence that they will be able to offer a higher quality product than anyone else in Uganda.
He said they strive to meet the evolving needs of this dynamic segment, expressing their commitment to the pursuit of the next milestone by reaching a new level of performance.
Emerald Telecom Uganda Limited Director Sourabh Shrivastava said oil can go 100,000 kilometers with better air emission.
He said the lubricant will not only help address the problems of poor quality oil in the Ugandan market but also help protect the environment.
Zubeir Ustad, the Managing Director of Emerald Telecom Uganda Limited, said the lubricant plays an important role in the rapid technological advancements by continuously striving to update the relevant technology.
He said this consistently provides premium industrial lubricating oil and greases that are environmentally friendly and technologically superior.
To achieve this level of optimization, he said that each of the MAK lubricants in the wide range of products is developed in close coordination with these industries.
The lubricant will serve the entire spectrum of the automotive segment, including bicycles, scooters, cars, light and heavy commercial vehicles and tractors, among others. Lubricants cover the wide range of motor oils, gear oils, greases and specialties comprehensively.
