Jaguar Land Rover has issued a recall for select 2023 Range Rover Sport models in the United States, but thankfully it’s a very small recall campaign. In fact, only five vehicles are affected.
The automaker has revealed through a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall notice that certain 2023 Range Rover Sport models were installed with an incorrect taillight. This means the turn signal will flash amber instead of the red it should be in the US market. Also, the side brake light may not work as it should.
Jaguar Land Rover notes that the incorrect taillights do not meet the requirements of FMVSS 108 and could make it difficult for other road users to see the rear of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

During October and November of last year, two field reports were made to the automaker regarding malfunctioning rear lights. An internal investigation was launched and five Range Rover Sport models built between July 22, 2022 and November 3, 2022 were found to have the problem. There have been no reports of accidents, fires or injuries.
Dealers will be notified of the withdrawal on April 20, 2023, while owners will be notified on or before June 2, 2023. Subject vehicles will be inspected and, if found to have an incorrect tail light, will be replaced with a correct one.
