The spark plug should be changed approximately every 100 hours of operation; otherwise, it may affect engine starting and overall performance.
With the mower off, remove the spark plug cover and use a spanner with a spark plug to remove the old plug. Take it to an auto parts store or outdoor equipment dealer and get a new one.
With a battery trimmer, there are no spark plugs, but you will need to charge the battery before starting work.
For a tractor, most manuals tell you to keep the battery inside with a trickle charger. If you don’t, fully charge the battery before the start of the season or you will reduce the battery life. The engine alone cannot fully recharge the battery.
