More than 200 exhibitors from 40 countries are expected at the West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) in Lagos from May 16-18, 2023.
West Africa Automotive Show is the largest automotive parts show in Nigeria, the third edition of WAAS will be the biggest yet.
More than 3,000 automotive professionals are expected to attend the two-day automotive parts and aftermarket show.
Exhibitors to showcase the latest spare parts, batteries, oils and lubricants and more to the West African market.
The West African Motor Show 2023 (WAAS), Nigeria’s largest auto parts trade fair, will return to Lagos from Tuesday 16th May to Thursday 18th 2023.
Over 3,000 automotive professionals are expected to attend the two-day auto parts show and aftermarket at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The 3rd edition of WAAS will be the biggest yet with over 200 exhibitors from 40 countries showcasing the latest spare parts, batteries, oils and lubricants and more to the West African market.
This year’s edition will feature the first Indian pavilion hosted by ACMA, as well as the launch of a new conference to give visitors even more opportunities to hear from policy makers and industry on the automotive sector in Nigeria and West Africa.
Jamie Hill, managing director of BtoB Events, the organizers of the event, said:
“The West African Motor Show has gained a huge following and has already become the largest automotive aftermarket exhibition in West Africa.
“Visitors appreciate being among the first to see, touch and find new products and technologies from around the world on site,” he says.
Speaking about the new WAAS conference, Jamie Hill said:
“The WAAS conference adds to the experience, bringing together key industry leaders and government officials to discuss trends and challenges.
“I am delighted to have been able to appoint Luqman Mamudu, Director of Policy and Planning at the National Automotive Council, as Chair of the conference.”
The president of the event, Mr. Luqman Mamudu, wants the conference program to address a number of factors affecting the state of the automotive sector in Nigeria and West Africa.
He said:
“I hope the inaugural WAAS conference and the show itself will deepen the demand for new garments in Nigeria.
“Above all, the recommendations of the conference will inform action by Nigeria’s incoming government to chart a new course for the automotive sector.”
