SW-Motech equips Ducati’s adventure enduro from top to bottom.

SW-Motech is one of the most popular brands when it comes to motorcycle specific luggage and aftermarket accessories designed to protect. The brand has a wide selection of products designed specifically for the most popular bikes on the market. Their newest product line is designed specifically for Ducati’s newest adventure enduro, the DesertX.
SW-Motech’s new range of accessories is designed to better equip the Ducati DesertX for the long haul, equipping the burly adventurer with improved crash protection, luggage mounting points and even a center stand for more comfortable maintenance during the journey. For starters, the top roll bar is made of tubular steel finished with a black powder coating. This protects the otherwise exposed fairings and lower fuel tank of the bike, as well as the top of the engine and radiator.
Moving on, SW-Motech’s new engine guard is constructed from four-millimeter-thick aluminum plate. Mounted just below the engine, the engine guard protects the oil pan and front engine cylinder from damage from scraping or hitting the bottom of the engine with rocks and wheels while riding off-road. The engine guard installs using existing brackets and has a hole for easy access to the engine oil drain plug.
Moving on to the front of the bike, SW-Motech also equips the Ducati DesertX with front axle sliders that protect the bike’s front fork in the event of tipping or sliding. Constructed of polypropylene housing, the sliders are replaceable, allowing for longer life. SW-Motech has also introduced an anodized, CNC milled aluminum alloy water pump guard for a sleek, OEM-plus look. Like all other components, it attaches to the bike using the existing mounting points, allowing for quick and easy installation.
Rounding out the list of accessories for the Ducati DesertX is the center stand and side stand foot extender, both designed to provide additional stability to the bike when parked. The center stand also makes maintenance, such as adjusting the chain and cleaning the rear wheel, easier while riding. Meanwhile, the side foot extender makes parking on dirt and off-road terrain much safer.
