Diecast BMWs, Audis and Toyotas also get a wash and wax in this realistic scale model display.

Collecting cars is an expensive hobby that few people have the resources to enjoy. Or rather, collecting real cars are expensive. Not that building a nice 1:18 scale diecast collection isn’t without cost, but we’re still talking hundreds or thousands of dollars instead of six or seven figures. The fact is, it’s within reach of the average car nut.
However, there are nothing average on this particular 1:18 scale collection. That’s because it’s featured in a really fun video depicting a 1:18 scale detail shop, and it’s not just a little garage made of styrofoam with a clear window and some small lights. This diorama appears in Miniature cars YouTube channel, and aside from the occasional sight of unnatural-looking people (or the occasional gigantic hand moving a car), this could pass for real.
It’s a complete car detailing studio, with a showroom to display aftermarket wheels, desks for sales staff, multiple garages for washing and waxing, and how about well-labeled boxes what is everywhere? Look closely and you’ll see several warning signs often found in repair shops hanging on the walls. There are small bottles of cleaning products on the workbenches. The large industrial garage doors look legit. Even the concrete floor looks, well, concrete. These are also very dirty floors, so apparently the vehicles that come in to clean are really neglected.
Speaking of which, the fun video opens with an Audi RSQ8 spending some time “off road” before heading to the shop for some paint protection. A Range Rover is next in line for a car wash, followed by a 1:18 scale Volkswagen T-Cross unboxing. It’s off to the detail shop for a little touch-up paint, and then it’s time for another PPF job, this time on a BMW 5 Series. And remember those exposed wheels? The sports sedan has new wheels to go with the shiny finish.
The video does not mention how long it took to create this scene, nor does the video description. And if all of this sounds a little familiar, we saw another video from Miniature cars in January, depicting a surprisingly realistic Mercedes-Benz dealership. As with this video, the details, along with exceptional lighting and camera work, bring everything to life. We look forward to seeing future projects from this talented artist.
