A video showing a young man riding through one of these tornadoes in Little Rock, Arkansas in his car is going viral. Dash cam video shows tornado debris flying around the car as winds pick up speed.
This viral video was filmed by Cody Coombes, a 24-year-old pest control specialist, who was returning home from an on-duty call when he came incredibly close to a tornado. Fortunately, Coombes survived this attack without injury, although his car was partially damaged.
While recalling the horrific moment to the media, Coombes remarked that it was one of the scariest moments of his life. He said: “Once I saw the winds pick up the way they did, the first thing that made me pull out my phone was that the clouds in front of me were picking up some debris. So I saw little bits of wooden roof thrown in front of me. So at that point I knew I had to be close.”
The tornado passed right in front of Coombes’ car. He said that thanks to the metal lockers and additional equipment inside his vehicle, his car was able to stay on the road and was not overturned by the force of the tornado winds
