ANNANDALE, Va. – A woman inside an education center in Annandale, Va., was taken to an area hospital Friday with a minor neck injury after a man crashed his car into the building earlier in the day .
At approximately 2:13 p.m., Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews responded to Evergreen Academy, a language school in Annandale, located in the 7700 block of Little River Turnpike for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the building.
Once on scene, crew members found that an elderly man had accidentally driven his car into the structure.
Police say a woman inside the building at the time of the collision was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver was not injured in the crash, according to a news release.
Detectives have determined the cause of the crash to be accidental, not a medical emergency.
Damage to the building was determined to be cosmetic.
