Claerr comes to Danos from Halliburton, where he held various roles including Sales Manager for Southeast Asia, Business Development Manager for Indonesia, and most recently Senior Director of Country Operations with based in Fort Worth, Texas.
“Andy brings valuable experience and knowledge to our business development team. We are excited to have him on board,” says CEO Paul Danos. “He has a wealth of industry knowledge that will position us well for continued success.”
Prior to working with Halliburton, Claerr was a senior field engineer at Schlumberger. He earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, the company said in its statement.
The addition of Claerr comes at a time of substantial growth for Danos, the statement said. The company recently acquired a Gulf of Mexico offshore labor supply company that led to a 30 percent increase in its workforce, he added. Danos has 2,700 employees in 21 states and the Gulf of Mexico, according to the release.
To recall, at the end of February, the owners of Danos took a big step forward in preparing for the future by diversifying their energy portfolio through strategic acquisitions. Danos Ventures has been established to lead this effort, led by third-generation owner and CEO Eric Danos.
James Callahan has also moved into a newly created executive role as vice president of acquisitions. The duo will work to develop a portfolio of new opportunities in traditional and emerging energy markets, the company said at the time.
Danos also noted that Danos Ventures is also interested in carbon capture and emissions reduction applications, among others.
