Energy logistics provider Peterson has launched a new consultancy service aimed at helping companies on their net zero journey and certification of carbon neutral status.
“We are excited to offer this new consulting service to companies committed to taking the first step to reduce their carbon footprint and participate in the energy transition,” said Sarah Moore, Chief Executive Officer of Peterson.
“Our sustainability team is looking forward to sharing its wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience with customers to significantly accelerate their carbon neutral certification and achieve their sustainability goals,” he added.
The consulting service will support clients with proven methodologies, a purpose-built carbon data collection tool and business intelligence (BI) dashboards that deliver significant cost savings and efficiencies during the carbon neutral certification process, Peterson said in his statement.
Peterson’s digital consultancy Core29 has developed a bespoke software solution to speed up the data collection process for scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, which will substantially reduce the hours required to measure emissions by approximately 40 per cent during and after the carbon neutrality process is complete, the company said.
Earlier this month, Peterson received the Energy Transition Award at the Offshore Achievement Awards in recognition of its sustainability initiatives which enabled the company to achieve carbon neutral status under the PAS 2060 accreditation which covers 34 locations in seven countries. Peterson notes that he has ambitious sustainability plans and aims to be zero by 2025.
The company claims on its site that the energy transition is underway and says that companies are working to reach net zero, with many aiming for 2030, and some as early as 2025, to ensure compliance with future environmental regulations.
