MILFORD – Police say a Bridgeport driver has died from his injuries days after his car was struck by a pickup truck in a crash over the weekend.
The crash was reported shortly before 12:55 a.m. Saturday near Route 1 and Cleveland Avenue near the Stratford town line, police said.
Milford police said a 2017 Ram 1500 pickup truck was westbound on Route 1, also known as Bridgeport Avenue, when it collided with a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. Police said the Elantra, driven by Henning, was attempting to turn left onto Cleveland Avenue at the time of the accident.
The crash also caused the Ram pickup to collide with a third vehicle, a Hyundai Sonata, that had stopped on Cleveland Avenue, police said.
Police said Henning was transported with serious injuries to Bridgeport Hospital, where he died Monday.
Milford police said the crash investigation remains ongoing.
