To meet the challenges of waste management, the Komatsu WA475-10 WH is a rugged wheel loader with customizable waste protection packages and tire options that can be configured for specific waste or scrap handling applications. Shown at CONEXPO/CON/AGG 2023, the WA475-10 WH was developed based on customer feedback and incorporates a pressurized cab, machine visibility and operational features such as independent control of work equipment.
In addition to the customizable debris protection package, optional joystick steering is also available for maneuverability and visibility. The model includes the new generation Komatsu hydraulic mechanical transmission (K-HMT).
To protect vital machine parts, the following features are available to protect against airborne debris and reduce component wear:
- The front and rear frame lower guard protects the engine oil tank, oil drain and fuel tank drain and reduces debris build-up, while protecting the powertrain and hydraulic components.
- The fuel tank guard encloses the exposed surfaces of the fuel tank to minimize damage and transfers impact forces to the rear frame and counterweight.
- Shaft seal guards are adjustable to ensure fit and reduce debris build-up around shaft and seals.
- Cooling screens increase the effective open area for airflow, while reducing the amount of debris that reaches coolers.
- The bucket cylinder guard protects the bucket cylinder rod from falling debris.
- The front window guard provides an extra layer of protection against large debris for the operator and the window, while front and rear light guards help protect them from damage.
