Pfitzner Performance Gearboxes (PPG) have introduced billet aluminum cased complete units for the TREMEC T56 – TR-6060 Performance Gearbox range (also known as Magnum and Magnum XL), which fit a wide range of of cars, especially GM and Ford models.
From high-performance replacement gear sets to complete billet gearbox units, PPG takes its range of options for TREMEC T56 transmissions to another level. Having created the first sequentially operated 6-speed shifter set for the TREMEC T56 – TR-6060 range, PPG has raised the bar even further with the introduction of the world’s first full housing aluminum units for these much revered and widely used gearboxes.
The TREMEC T56 – TR-6060 range of performance gearboxes fit in various forms to a wide range of cars, including pick-up Corvette, Camaro, Mustang, F150, Dodge Charger, Dodge Viper, Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon in Australia, and Aston Martin in the UK.
PPG’s market-leading TREMEC T56 – TR-6060 six-speed sequential gear kits are available in both straight-cut and helical-cut dog engagement options as a heavy-duty upgrade for inline and transaxle configurations. Each directly replaces OEM internals and can be installed in manufacturer’s housings without modification or retrofitting.
Widely used for high performance and motorsport applications, the quality of the materials, the construction of billet steel components along with PPG’s unique heat treatment process has seen cars fitted with kits PPG gears achieve multiple records and achievements. Many of these accolades have come on the drag strip, with ETs of around six seconds regularly set, as well as numerous prestigious lap records at circuits around the world.

Each is pre-fitted with PPG’s existing tried, tested and proven gear kits to provide levels of integrity, durability and functionality not seen before.
In keeping with its philosophy of fit and function, PPG’s complete unit directly replaces the OE gearbox without the need for changes to surrounding components. This means it lines up directly with the vehicle’s existing hood housing, support shaft couplings, mounts and linkages.
