BMW will present the new Hommage Concept, Special M Car and M Performance i7 in May

BMW brings a host of new concepts to the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, including a new two-seater tribute and a special M car

BMW is one of the biggest supporters of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and the carmaker regularly uses the event to present new concepts such as the 3.0 CSL and the 328 Hommages.

The tradition will continue this year, as the BMW Group will present a “uniquely elegant and sporty”. The company described it as a two-seater homage, although it’s not immediately clear which classic model it will refer to.

In addition to the throwback, the company will show a “very special BMW M car.” We can also expect a “new all-electric BMW 7 Series M Performance model” to be shown in an exclusive two-tone livery. Both are a mystery, but the current i7 xDrive60 has a 101.7 kWh battery powering a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that develops 536 hp (400 kW / 543 PS) and 549 lb-ft (744 Nm) of pair This allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and travel up to 318 miles (512 km) on a single charge.

Although some questions remain, the models will be joined by the Rolls-Royce Spectre, the MINI Cooper SE Convertible and an electric scooter from BMW Motorrad. BMW will also introduce the new 3.0 CSL alongside its 1973 predecessor.

The festivities begin on May 19^th and continue until the 21st^St. Although there will be multiple events, the main Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will have eight vehicle classes, including one celebrating the 100^th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Another class will celebrate Porsche’s 75th anniversary, while the H-Class will honor topless cars “made differently”.
