Police officers who responded to a vehicle collision in the Punchbowl area this morning arrived to find one car resting on the roof of another.
A Toyota Camry had fallen out of the Easterseals Hawaii parking lot and crashed into a Toyota Matrix at 710 Green St. below, according to Matrix owner Mark Inocencio.
Inocencio said he heard police respond to the collision around 6 a.m., but didn’t know it was his car. He decided to stay at home until the police activity was over, but when he left for work he saw that his car had been crushed.
“I was praying because I hope it’s not my car … but it is,” he said.
The Camry unit was not seriously injured. Police said an investigation is ongoing.
