5 Upcoming Toyota Cars for India:
1. All new Toyota SUV Coupe
Toyota is working on launching a new coupe SUV in India which is likely to happen in the second half of this year. This new SUV will be based on the new Maruti Suzuki Fronx which will be launched in May. This compact five-seater coupé SUV is likely to share styling cues with the Yaris Cross and will share the same Heartect platform and petrol engines with the Fronx. 2. New generation Toyota Fortuner
The best-selling luxury SUV Fortuner will get a more luxurious design and more in its new generation avatar. It will be supported by a new ladder chassis and is likely to grow in size. 3. Three-row Toyota Corolla Cross
A three-row version of the Corolla Cross is being considered for the Indian market. It would have a longer wheelbase to accommodate the 7-seater configuration and be underpinned by the TNGA-C platform. It is also likely to share its powertrains with the Innova Hycross.
4. Brand New Toyota Electric SUV
Toyota’s new electric SUV is expected to take design inspiration from the glamorous bZ4X. The e-SUV will be underpinned by a skateboard platform and will also give rise to a Maruti Suzuki sibling. It is likely to offer a range of over 500 km and will be launched in 2025.
5. Toyota MPV
Toyota to launch a compact MPV based on Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, thanks to collaboration. However, it won’t just be a rebadged model, it is expected to have full Toyota design and technology. It can take design inspiration from the Innova Hycross and also use the 1.5L mild hybrid powertrain.
