Prior Power Solutions has secured a seven-figure contract to supply oilfield equipment to an integrated services company. What the company called a “record deal” will support oil and gas extraction in the Americas.
The bespoke package includes feed compressors, booster and membrane unit that will cover Rig Safe and Zone II hazardous areas, the company said in its statement.
“We are delighted to be working for a new client on this new multi-million pound contract, with further contract announcements expected shortly,” says Adrian Sharman, Global Sales Director, Prior Power Solutions.
Prior Power Solutions prides itself on designing and manufacturing the full range of oilfield equipment including nitrogen pumps, specialist skids, hydraulic power, fluid pumps, coiled tubing and compressor units that can be built to any standard or regulation of the industry
The company is constantly innovating design and manufacturing processes to bring not only operational and maintenance efficiencies, but also improve delivery time and future-proof units so they can be easily upgraded, the statement said.
“We are looking at a number of upgrades, technology and processes to improve the carbon footprint of our equipment.” Adrià explains. “For example, our hydrogen-diesel injection system is undergoing exciting trials with Tarmac, which we hope to integrate into our well service teams in the future to reduce diesel consumption and reduce emissions,” he adds.
According to Adrian, even simple things like flame trap upgrades to their nitrogen pumps mean that typical 8-hour service intervals have been replaced by 1,000-hour intervals. “That’s a lot of cleaning fluids and equipment that are no longer needed and all have a carbon footprint, not to mention a massive reduction in non-productive time,” concludes Adrian.
Ultimately, the company said it has seen a good start in 2023 that will continue as it strives to provide sustainable solutions through innovative and flexible engineering.
