TROY – A 17-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car in Miami County Monday night.
Around 7:30 p.m., Troy police and medics were called to a report of a person hit by a car in the 400 block of North Elm Street near Treasure Island Park, according to Miami County dispatchers.
Police arrived at the scene and found a 17-year-old male trapped under the car, according to Troy Police Department Sgt.

The 17-year-old was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation found that the 17-year-old was holding on to a bicycle being pulled by a car driven by a 16-year-old when he somehow went under the car and was injured.
The 16-year-old driver is not facing any charges pending an investigation, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
