CASPER, Wyo. – The cause of a vehicle fire in a residential alley Tuesday evening remains under investigation, according to a statement from Casper Fire-EMS Wednesday.
Crews responded around 10:28 p.m. Feb. 28 to the 1900 block of South Cedar Street after multiple callers reported a large fire in the alley. Crews arrived to find the vehicle burning from the engine compartment and moved quickly to extinguish the fire, sparing nearby structures.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is currently unknown, according to the statement.
An investigator from the Natrona County Interagency Fire Investigation Task Force, four Casper Fire-EMS units and the duty battalion chief responded to the scene.
While the cause is still unknown, Casper Fire-EMS used the release to remind people to have certified mechanics work on their vehicles and to make sure all parts used in the repair are approved by the vehicle manufacturer .
