Saipem and Seaway7 have signed a commercial collaboration agreement to jointly carry out projects in the offshore wind sector. The two companies have agreed to jointly identify, tender and execute fixed offshore wind projects.
The goal of the collaboration is to use their respective assets, technological products and competencies to improve the economics of the project. According to a joint statement, Saipem and Seaway7 will deploy key assets and capabilities to cover activities such as front-end engineering design (FEED), procurement, construction, transportation and installation of foundations and inner matrix cables, as well such as installation. of substations and wind turbines.
The pairing will pursue large turnkey integrated developments in Europe, the UK and the US. There is an option to expand geographically beyond the regions listed.
The collaboration will improve operational flexibility and enable early engagement with both customers and the supply chain to optimize design and execution strategies and to secure critical assets, including vessels and yards, the joint statement said.
