Dubai, United Arab Emirates: UAE-based international conglomerate Ghassan Aboud Group and Halal Quality Control Group (HQC) have announced the introduction of Halal certification solutions for UAE companies that produce and export Halal goods at the world’s largest annual global food and beverage supply event, Gulfood.
The joint venture will provide business and accreditation solutions that maintain high standards and regulations in line with international halal requirements to facilitate the growth of the halal economy in the UAE and boost trade across the region through a process of online application on their dedicated online platform.
With the Halal economy estimated to be worth $3.2 trillion by 2024, according to the second edition of the Halal Guide released last year, the UAE has established itself as a key player in the production and export of goods and products in various industries as demand increases. .

The comprehensive application process will assess companies across a range of metrics including production environment and cleanliness processes, this concludes with an on-site audit by HQC’s technical and Shariah auditors. Once passed, the organization will receive a certificate that will allow it to enter the global Halal market. This process is repeated annually, in accordance with international rules and regulations.
