It’s a big day for Forza news, with Playground Games revealing the Rally Adventure DLC expansion shortly before detailing everything to come with the Series 18 content update “Horizon Wilds Takeover.” It’s the perfect update to get people into the hardcore rallying that’s coming with the next expansion, with tons of new cars, themed events, and more.
The Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist continues with Series 18 “Horizon Wilds Takeover”, which sees them take over the Horizon Wilds Festival with off-road and rally-themed racing events, challenges and rewards. As promised, the update also pays tribute to racing icon Ken Block with a new Hoonigan vehicle, plenty of Hoonigan-related challenges and rewards, and more.
The most exciting addition for many, however, will be the seven new cars coming to Forza Horizon 5 Series 18, including two new to the Forza Horizon franchise. Here’s everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 5’s Series 18 “Horizon Wilds Takeover” update:
- Precursor to Rally Adventure. With a new DLC expansion on the horizon, it makes sense that the previous festival playlist would prepare players. The 18 series is all about rally, cross-country and off-road racing.
- Tribute to the life of Ken Block. Legendary racer Ken Block has sadly passed away, and Playground Games is celebrating his incredible life and career in a number of ways during Forza Horizon 5 Series 18, including:
- A new player badge “#43”, which can be obtained by driving any Hoonigan vehicle for 4.3 miles
- 20 new achievements involving Hoonigan vehicles, with one rewarding the Forza LINK message “Go fast. Risk it all.”
- The return of an iconic Ken Block Hoonigan vehicle
- Hoonigan’s unique challenges and events throughout the festival playlist
- Seven new vehicles. Forza Horizon 5’s car roster is getting a big expansion with the addition of seven new vehicles throughout the festival playlist. Two of these cars are also new to the Forza Horizon franchise.

Forza Horizon 5’s Series 18 “Horizon Wilds Takeover” content update arrives next week, with the actual festival playlist starting on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
