SK Enmove announced on February 20 that the company is joining Green Revolution Cooling’s ElectroSafe fluid partner program. GRC is the world leader in immersion cooling for data centers.
The ElectroSafe Fluid Partner Program evaluates and validates dielectric fluids designed for use in GRC’s immersion cooling systems, ensuring environmentally responsible and globally available solutions that not only meet the compatibility, performance and safety of materials, but also ensure they meet customer expectations to improve the data center. energy efficiency, cooling capacity and reliability.
With the participation of SK Enmove, currently one of the leading suppliers of electric vehicle (EV) fluids in the market, in the program, GRC’s global data center customer base will have access to cooling fluids from diving owners of SK Enmove. The partnership will also provide an opportunity for the two companies to collaboratively develop and improve new fluid formulations and advancements.
SK Enmove’s patented engineering thermal fluid has been developed to optimize the cooling of immersion cooled data centers, giving data center operators the peace of mind of increased cooling efficiency and stability in fire In addition, the engineered thermal fluid also improves server output performance and system security. By using SK Enmove’s thermal fluid, data center operators can also reduce operating costs and environmental impact. The fluid has been designed to last the life of the equipment and can be recycled and reused after decommissioning.
“With data centers significantly increasing density, along with a renewed focus on energy efficiency, the demand for a better thermal solution is growing rapidly. We look forward to working with GRC to provide our customers with the value-added benefits of longevity of critical infrastructure and reduced operating costs, with our newly designed thermal fluid,” said Kim Wone-kee, head of SK Enmove’s green growth division. “This partnership also marks a fundamental step for our organization as we expand our business area beyond the existing lubricants business. Through the program, we believe we could improve our competitiveness in the thermal management solutions business, which is the future direction of the company”.
“SK Enmove and GRC have collaborated to use SK-engineered thermal fluid in GRC systems, and today’s announcement formalizes the work and solidifies our relationship. The partnership will offer our joint global customers a range of new options when it comes to cooling their data centers,” said Ben Smith, GRC Product Director. “By deploying liquid immersion cooling, data center operators can reduce their carbon footprint primarily by reducing energy use. Today’s partnership will not only help reduce the environmental impact of data centers, but our collaboration on new fluid formulations will help strengthen future data centers.”
