The countdown to the new era of the Repco Supercars Championship is underway, with the Gen3 era officially launched in Sydney on Monday.
Four star drivers from the Chevrolet and Ford camps, Shane van Gisbergen, Mark Winterbottom, Will Davison and Chaz Mostert, gathered in front of the media on the world-class stage of Sydney Harbour.
Van Gisbergen, Winterbottom, Davison and Mostert combine for four drivers’ titles and seven Bathurst 1000 wins.

Both trophies are held by van Gisbergen, who won a record 21 races en route to the 2022 drivers’ title.
All 25 drivers will be present at the official season launch event in Sydney on Monday evening.

The 2023 season will feature 28 races over 12 rounds, including two endurance races: the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 and the Repco Bathurst 1000.
There will be 14 Camaros and 11 Mustangs, with Mostert’s Walkinshaw Andretti United switching to Ford in the off-season.
Foxtel will broadcast all practice, qualifying, shootouts and races of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship live and commercial-free for a ninth consecutive season.
Six rounds of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will be broadcast live on the Seven Network: Thrifty Newcastle 500, Betr Darwin Triple Crown, NTI Townsville 500, Repco Bathurst 1000, Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 and the season finale VALO Adelaide 500.
Seven events will be broadcast live on 7plus. Other rounds will have delayed featured packages.
