Gran Turismo 7 will get a big new lease of life next week with a PSVR2 patch that makes it playable in VR, but there’s still content to wait for if you don’t buy Sony’s new headset. Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi has done his usual thing of teasing the PS5 and PS4 update the weekend before it arrives, revealing that four more cars will be added to the real-world driving simulator on 21 February 2023.
You can see the black silhouettes of the four racing cars in the image below, but fans are speculating that they are either a Citroën DS, an AAR Eagle or a Honda RA272 and an old Porsche. A set of wheels seems relatively unknown at the time of writing.
Of course, you’ll be able to race these four new cars in VR once you’ve purchased them in-game on every track in the game, at every event. The only feature PSVR2 doesn’t support is split-screen playback. This is the entire title playable in VR, and there’s even a new showroom where you can admire every car in the game up close and personal. We’ll give you our impressions of the PSVR2 version as soon as possible.
