Despite Nigeria’s harsh macroeconomic situation, some indigenous organizations are weathering the storm to manufacture brands and products that can compete favorably and be considered the best in the global market.
One such company is Lubcon Limited, whose premium brand, Super Resurs International Oil, has emerged as the Best Lubricating Automotive Oil in West Africa 2023.
Super Resurs 20W-50 was presented with this award on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Sheraton Hotel, Lagos at the 12th edition of the West African Brand Excellence Awards organized by the African Brands Congress , publishers of The Brands Digest.
The awards ceremony was attended by other winners from different sectors of the Nigerian and West African economy.
On receiving the Super Resurs award for the best brand, the CEO of Lubcon Oil Limited, Mr. Taiye Williams, thanked the organizers of the award and congratulated the other winners of the historic event. He was accompanied by the company’s technical consultant Engr Kayode Sote; the main distributor of Lubcon and CEO of Mannabis Nigeria Limited, Alhaji Azeez Taiwo; and GM, Brands Marketing Sr. Kunle Farinde, among others.
Mr. Williams explained that his Ilorin, Kwara state-owned company, Lubcon Oil Limited, has been deliberate about the quality of the products coming out of its hi-tech plants in Nigeria, Ghana and Ethiopia, where they produce for the needs of all the africa market He said Super Resurs 20W-5 is one of many products in his stable. He maintained that his company is the first to adopt nanotechnology for the production of automotive lubricating oil in Nigeria. Lubcon’s nanotechnology-based brands are Lubcon’s Nano Adrenalin and Lubcon’s Super Resurs.
“The other products you can find here in West Africa are normal synthetic motor oils imported from foreign companies, they are not locked in any ramifications to our Super Resources because we have gone the extra mile to adapt global best practices in production of automotive oil adopting 3 -D Nanotechnology.
“We have Lubcon’s NANO ADRENALIN 5W/30, an exceptional quality fully synthetic engine oil fortified with nanoadditive technology developed in partnership with VMPAUTO LLC Russia that offers “3D” protection. All our products are NIS ISO 9001-2015 certified. When you use Lubcon Super Resurs oil or Nano Adrenalin oil to service your automotive vehicles or machines, the oil will repair worn engine components that have been created by working pumps,” said Williams.
According to him, Resurs will give up to ten times the useful life of other lubricant products, reduce fuel consumption and give a clean engine. Engine oil can be used for months or more than 8,000 kilometers before a change is required. These are the factors that made Resurs the best lube oil in West Africa.
In closing, the General Manager, Brands and Marketing, Kunle Farinde, who was also present at the award ceremony, explained that his company is the only licensed lubricants plant in Nigeria that produces automotive oils for NNPC Retails.
“A few years ago, the Japanese government came to certify our plants and products in Ilorin. Because of this, Lubcon was awarded the contract to blend and produce lubricating oil for all Japanese automotive products sold by its Nigerian partner CFAO. We produce Yamalube oil for CFAO-Yamaha,” he said.
