A Bentley-branded luxury residence is under construction in Miami, and images of the designs released this week revealed elevators that allow residents to drive their cars directly to their apartments on every floor.
The 61-story Miami Beach skyscraper is a project between Sieger Suarez Architects, Dezer Development and the British automaker.
While the project isn’t new, having been announced in 2021 and designed in 2019, clips of how the functional car lifts will work were shared by the design publication. the seas earlier this week.
Each apartment in the 228-metre oval tower will have an attached three- or four-car garage. They can be accessed by one of four lifts from the ground floor and will have electric vehicle charging points as well as storage space.
Sieger Suarez Architects of Florida came up with the idea for the elevator, which was patented by Dezer Developments, a business management consultancy that also operates in the Sunshine State, as the Dezervator.
Glass-enclosed elevators, which can rotate vehicles depending on which side to access, will allow passengers to view public spaces through their car windows, and all vehicles will have RFID stickers that they will allow them to go through the scanning system.
“The hard part for us was safety,” Sieger said. the seas reports “The Dezervator transports people directly, so we need to make sure they are safely locked in their vehicles.”
The skyscraper will be Bentley’s first branded residential property. Construction is scheduled to begin this year and is slated for completion in 2026. It is slated to become the tallest beachfront residential tower in the United States, according to Bentley.
It will have more than 200 apartments with terraces complete with private pool, outdoor shower, kitchen and living area.
The building has focused on sustainable development, using environmentally friendly materials as well as reduced coastal lighting to protect endangered sea turtles.
Sieger Suarez Architects is responsible for a number of other luxury building projects in Florida, including the Porsche Design Tower, which was built in 2017, and the Waldorf Astoria planned to become Miami’s first supertall skyscraper .
