February 2
Identity theft: In the 200 block of Walnut Place, a victim reported someone used their identity to open a checking account and attempt to cash fraudulent checks.
Theft: In the 700 block of Loraine Street, two unlocked vehicles were entered. There is nothing reported missing.
Stop: A 36-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with false identification to law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at Hathaway and Clover Lanes.
February 3
Ignition Interlock: A 33-year-old Collegeville man was charged with no court required ignition interlock and obscured plates at West Chester Pike and Glen Gary Drive.
DUI: A 30-year-old Chester woman was charged with DUI and a suspended driver’s license in the 1100 block of Karakung Drive.
Theft: In the 600 block of Loraine Street, a vehicle was entered and loose change, a handicap placard and Toyota owner’s manual were stolen.
February 4
Retail theft: At Lowe’s in the 100 block of West Township Line Road, a shoplifter took two rolls of wire valued at $285. A security worker stopped the subject outside the store and was able to retrieve the merchandise before the shoplifter fled.
Fraud: The resident of the first block of Meadows Lane reported that he sent $32,000 to purchase a car and the vehicle was never shipped.
February 5
Retail theft: At Wawa in the first block of East Eagle Road, four men stole approximately $50 worth of food and ran off.
February 6
Retail theft: At Giant in the 100 block of West Township Line Road, police were called to video surveillance Jan. 30 of a woman shoplifting about $1,000 in groceries.
Retail theft: At Giant itself, a woman was seen on surveillance video approaching customer service with a shopping cart full of groceries on January 30. He bought a twist and then fled the store with the groceries.
Retail theft: At the same Giant, a woman was observed on video surveillance stealing about $190.00 worth of groceries.
Retail theft: At Sunoco in the 400 block of East Township Line Road, a man stole two boxes of candy valued at $190.
Identity theft: In the 1000 block of Delaware Avenue, a man reported someone used his identity to open two bank accounts and tried to withdraw $6,000 from his life insurance policy.
Identity theft: In Taylor Lane’s first blog, a woman reported that someone used her identity to open a credit card account.
February 7
Retail theft: At Giant in the 100 block of West Township Line Road, a woman was observed on video surveillance shoplifting approximately $800 in groceries.
Forgery: a in the first block of Woodbine Road, a check was altered after it was mailed. The bank flagged the check as fraudulent when someone tried to cash it.
